The Palace of Westminster should be turned into a museum and a new building should replace it, designed like the German Reichstag building. This will allow better debate rather than the existing adversarial two sides. MPs also need a desk and microphone to make their work easier than sitting on a bench. Voting by MPs should take place electronically.

A better chamber, without the confrontational opposite benches, is good. Life moves on and the original idea that there were two opposing voices, from which the monarch could take advice before making a decision. is gone. But Westminster doesn't have to be abandoned to do that. A new chamber for the Commons could easily be incorporated in a redesign of the interior.
